In 2013, KFC UK and Ireland employed around 24,000 people in 850 restaurants. Approximately two-thirds of all new restaurants opened are franchise operations, and KFC operates a ’One System’ approach, with franchise and company employees working closely together to ensure consistent policies and practices everywhere.

To best support this consistency we operate a global training and development programme known as ‘Developing Champions’. This programme allows for structured learning and development for all team members in any of our restaurants and is designed and owned centrally and implemented by training managers across Company owned and Franchised restaurants.
